The Unequal Politics of Climate Change (Winter Semester 2023)

In this course, we explored the political issues surrounding climate change, focusing on institutional hurdles and successful legislation. For my final project, I designed a study to analyze the effects of climate disasters on political corruption. I examined three types of natural disasters—floods, droughts, and earthquakes—to identify their unique effects on corruption in the years following a disaster. This analysis was conducted using panel data modeling.

Disinformation and Misinformation in Comparative Perspective (Winter Semester 2023)

This course focused on the global analysis of the spread of misinformation and disinformation. For the final group project, I led the analysis and created figures depicting the relationship between misinformation/disinformation and the level of democracy for all countries within a twenty year period. We used data from the V-Dem (Varieties of Democracy) project.
